Hartlaub’s Duck Brood

It’s never too late for ducklings. This brood of 8 Hartlaub’s ducks fledged from their nest this morning after 32 days of incubation by the mother. I am very pleased to say that this was a perfect hatch: 8 of 8 hatched. The nest was in a cavity style nest box about 4 feet above the water. The brood is being dutifully attended to by both the male and female. Enjoy the photos & video!
