Very happy to find this Patagonian crested duck egg today. I have been expecting them to nest at any point due to the sudden change in behavior. This species can become quite aggressive during the nesting season and has been keeping most other species, with a few exceptions, off of the pond they claimed as their own. There are very few of these birds maintained in collections so here’s hoping we find success next month!
