Are you offering your waterfowl more than just a dish of pellets? If not, you really are missing tremendous behavioral observation opportunities. Offering items of enrichment to your birds gives them a chance to stimulate their minds, presents the opportunity for free choice, and boosts their activity levels to a much higher degree. Here, the item of choice was various greens but there is no shortage of items to offer and the sky is the limit on what unique way you may decide to offer it. Some examples include: duck weed, meal worms, crickets, seeds, watermelon, corn kernels, krill, and so much more. Doing this is a great way to get to know each individual bird and monitor their day to day health status. Not to mention it’s fun to watch!
